A group of teenagers in California's central valley spend one final night after their 1962 high school graduation cruising the strip with their buddies before they pursue their varying goals.
Movie will be shown at dusk.
Admission will be 1 food item per person or monetary donation for the Weekend Food Backpack Program.
50/50 raffle will also be held to benefit the program.
The Gladstone Lions Club has partnered with the Gladstone-Rapid River Kiwanis Club to support the Weekend Food Backpack Program
The weekend food program, consists of 5 meals, packed weekly in a backpack, by the Gladstone-Rapid River Kiwanis Club with the help of the Gladstone Key Club. They are currently providing weekend food backpacks for the students in the Gladstone Area Schools (K-12) and for students in the Rapid River School District (K-12).
A typical backpack of food contains a can of meat ravioli, a can of spaghetti and meat balls, two containers of Mac & Cheese, 2 packages of Ramen noodles, 4 packets of instant oatmeal or a box of cereal, a fruit cup, 2 sleeves of crackers, 2 jello cups, a packet of pop tarts and 2 bags of snack crackers. Jars of peanut and jelly and fresh fruit are included monthly.

Join us for a good old fashioned car cruise. Gather in downtown Gladstone at the American Legion Post 71-Hot Rods & Harleys from 4pm-8pm on Thursday June 19 where we will then cruise by Lake View Assisted Living traveling to Lake Shore Drive in Escanaba down Ludington Street ending at the Drive-In movie at the UP State
